I have been involved with the design and implementation of several client websites in a variety of business areas. I have over 2 years experience developing websites using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, and MySQL.
I am very experienced with Concrete5 CMS and have developed a large variety of themes for it. I have found that Concrete5 has been invaluable not only from a developer's standpoint, but for ease of use on the client side.
I am currently finishing up my B.S. in Web Application Development at Globe University/Minnesota School of Business in Woodbury, MN. and am always looking to further my knowledge of programming languages and implementation.
I am incredibly passionate about EVERYTHING web and love to talk about it as much as I enjoy coding. Feel free to ring me, ping me, mail me or tweet me with any questions or concerns.
Right out of highschool I did what most kids do, went to college. Once in college, however, I exaggerated what most kids do. I was scary good at not going to class and partying. One day, I remember playing GTA - San Andreas for 36 hours straight and barely blinked but I couldn't focus on studies.
After being kicked out of school I decided to enlist in the US Army and before I could second-guess myself I was on my way to Ft. Knox, KY for basic training. I ended up doing a tour each in Iraq and Afghanistan before getting out in April of 2009. I was determined to finish school and started going back for my BS in Web Application Development. Having been savvy with computers most of my life it was an obvious choice, but I had no idea what I was getting myself into.
On the way to the VA for an appt. one day, I was involved in a car accident and ended up in the ER for a few hours. Shortly thereafter, I became a regular at a chiropractic clinic where I became quick friends with the secretary. She told me about a job opening one day that her brothers had at their company for a web developer. I called, went in and interviewed, and got the job within a couple of weeks. I was terrified. I had no idea how to develop websites and was in awe that I was given the chance to prove that I could learn very quickly.
Weeks went by, hours flew, day turned to night and back to day in blurs and my fingers became increasingly nimble! I wasn't simply learning web development for the sake of my job, I was hooked or "bitten by the bug" or whatever you want to call it. I can't stay away from it now.
